We will be doing Virtual Reality Pay Per View outreach and vegan food sampling at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN today from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Pay Per View is an innovative form of outreach where people are offered $1.00 to view a short 3D film about the lives of animals used for food and then go home with information about how changing to a plant-based diet can make a huge difference for the animals, the earth, and themselves. This is a life-changing experience for many viewers

October 2nd is the first day of Kaporos, an annual animal sacrifice ritual that claims the lives of over 70,000 baby chickens. Kaporos takes place in many cities in North America and is most widely done in Israel. Join us to watch "Robin: Rescued from the Dead," a new documentary that sheds light on this ritual. While much of it is difficult to watch, we think it's important to bear witness to what the unwilling victims endure, and we want you to feel empowered to take action toward ending these cruel acts. Location is ARC office (co-locatedwith ARC's vegan boutique, Ethique Nouveau(, 317 W 48th St. in Minneapolis.

The Unleash The Beast rodeo tour is coming to Minneapolis, featuring "the top 35 bull riders in the world against the best bulls in the industry". Rodeos are cruel and deadly for the animals involved. What kind of people are entertained by watching terrified animals in pain? Look closely in the chute and you can see tails being twisted and pulled to provoke the bulls to buck. These animals are not aggressive by nature, but are tormented to get them to display wild behavior. Join us in standing up against this blatant cruelty. We will be peacefully protesting outside the Target Center; the exact location will be updated before the event. Signs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you would like!

Join AmyLeo Barankovich, of Vegan Affairs Minnesota, for an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about moving towards being your best voice for the animals. It seems to be human nature to speak “wildly” when our emotions lead the conversation. Being an effective animal advocate requires putting into practice a set of tools that we can access once we are aware of them and know how to best use them. Location is Penn Lake Library, 8800 Penn Ave. S in Bloomington from 6:00-8:00 p.m. RSVP for this free event at the link below.
