Vol Mtg - Live and Let Live at 6:00 pm
Join us for ARC's first volunteer meeting of July to to watch the documentary, Live and Let Live! This film examines our relationships with animals, the history of veganism and the ethical, environmental, and health reasons that move people to go vegan. Snacks will be provided or bring one to share! Volunteer meetings are held at ARC's all vegan, cruelty-free boutique, Ethique Nouveau (co-located with the ARC office), 317 W 48th St. in Minneapolis. The store closes at 6 pm, but the door will be open to join us. You don't have to be an ARC member to attend these meetings (and you don't have to be vegan or vegetarian either). You will be welcome no matter where you are in your journey. We hope to see you.

Protest Ribnick Furs at 11:00 am
Join us for a peaceful protest outside Ribnick Luxury Outerwear to educate the public about why fur has no place in 2019. Animals shouldn't be forced to live in tiny cages, only to meet their death by anal electrocution, gassing, and/or drowning. Signs and literature will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Location is 224 N 1st St. in Minneapolis.

Black Market's kitchen has been pumping some absurd and unholy concoctions out that they're excited to share with you! Protest Four Paws and a Tail at 1:00 pm
We're joining Puppy Mill Free Minnesota for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail, on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Meet us at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle. Signs are provided but you're welcome to bring your own! We oppose Four Paws and a Tail's business model of buying companion animals from breeding facilities and selling them to the public. Note this is an ongoing event, ARC will post events for the protests we're able to be present at, but there are typically activists at the site every Sunday from 1:00-2:00 pm!
Best Voice for Animals at 6:00 pm
Join AmyLeo Barankovich, of Vegan Affairs Minnesota, for an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about moving towards being your best voice for the animals. It seems to be human nature to speak “wildly” when our emotions lead the conversation. Being an effective animal advocate requires putting into practice a set of tools that we can access once we are aware of them and know how to best use them. Easy Peasy: Raw Basics at 11:00 am
Using raw, whole foods you’ll learn how to make easy, delicious recipes that can be enjoyed year-round. Amyleo will show you how to turn up the flavor without turning on the stove or oven. Space is limited so RSVP as soon as you're able! You need to RSVP with Mississippi Market with the link provided to attend this class! On the menu: Red pepper kale chips, chipotle “cheese” dip with fresh vegetables, creamy tomato soup with chipotle-lime-cashew drizzle, and a tropical fruit pudding with coconut chips. Shades of Beauty Expo at 12:00 pm
Stop by and say hi or join us in tabling at the Shades of Beauty Expo at the St. Paul RiverCentre Saturday, July 13th from noon to 6:00 PM. The Shades of Beauty Expo was created for women of color who desire innovative, culturally focused products and ideas for an enhanced (holistic) quality of life. We will have literature explaining animal testing and cruelty-free options, in addition to some of the vegan products we sell at ARC's vegan boutique, Ethique Nouveau. Vegan Meal Planning Workshop at 6:15 pm
Have you ever been confused about what vegan recipes to make or wanted tips for quick meals on the go? If so, join Emily and Kelsey at Washburn Library for an in-depth workshop where they will review everything from salads, sandwiches, and week-night recipes to convenience foods and restaurants that fit your lifestyle and goals. You will take away easy last-minute food options for when your fridge looks empty and tips for starting your vegan journey. Workshop is free. RSVP at the provided link.
Cuddle Coats Prep Session at 6:00 pm
Please join us in prepping donated fur coats to be sent to wildlife rehabs all over the United States. During this session, we will be prepping donated fur coats and accessories for shipment to wildlife rehabilitation centers. This means removing all buttons, zippers etc, so feel free to bring a pair of sharp scissors or seam ripper of your own if you'd like, although we have several for people to use. Some people like to bring a lint roller for getting fur off their clothes at the end, but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little fuzzy. This is a great opportunity for teens and mature kids to help out, too, and a great, low-key way to volunteer for a little bit and meet others while doing something concrete to save lives. Community Cleanup at 6:30 pm
Join us in cleaning up our community as part of our new Community Engagement program. We will be meeting on the corner of Summer and Broadway Street in Beltrami Park and clean up around the area. Gloves and garbage bags will be provided. Feel free to bring your own, non disposable gloves for less waste. Dress accordingly and be prepared to get a little dirty. RSVP at provided link.
