Join us for a peaceful protest to educate the public about why fur has no place in 2019. Animals should not be forced to live in tiny cages, only to meet their death by anal electrocution, gassing, or drowning. Signs and literature will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own as well. Location is L.A. Rockler Fur Company from noon to 1:30 p.m. at 16 N 4th St in Minneapolis. RSVP at Animal Rights Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-Animal-Rights-Meetup/ (optional)

Join Andrew for savory crepes, dessert crepes, and ice cream at Crepe and Spoon. One crepe is more than enough to fill you up; however, you'll still be tempted to order one of everything. Location is Crepe and Spoon, 339 22nd Ave NE in Minneapolis. Crepe and Spoon is opening early for this Meetup, so we'll be the only ones there. RSVP at Vean Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/vegan-415/

Join ARC, Bailing out Benji, and Puppy Mill Free Minnesota for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Meet at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle. Signs are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. We oppose Four Paws and a Tails business model of buying companion animals from breeding facilities and selling them to the public. We also oppose the idea that because a breeding facility is USDA licensed, it is ethical. RSVP on the Minnesotans Exposing the Pet Trade Facebook event or at Animal Rights Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-Animal-Rights-Meetup/ (optional)

Please join us for a volunteer meeting and Cuddle Coats prep session followed by delicious vegan pizza from Galactic Pizza. We will be prepping donated fur coats and accessories for shipment to wildlife rehabilitation centers. This means removing all buttons, zippers etc, so feel free to bring a pair of sharp scissors or seam ripper of your own, although we have several for people to use. Some people like to bring a lint roller for getting fur off their clothes at the end. This is a great opportunity for teens and mature kids to help out, too, and is a low-key, low-commitment way to volunteer for a little bit and meet some of the other people in the group, while doing something concrete to save lives. (Must help prep if you plan to enjoy pizza.) Location is the ARC office, co-located with Ethique Nouveau, at 317 W 48th St. in Minneapolis from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. RSVP at Animal Rights Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-Animal-Rights-Meetup/

Join us to send a message to the Safari Club that trophy hunting is a cruel "sport", that needs to stop. Killing is not conservation and their event is an excuse for people to go out and kill beautiful animals so they can snap a photo, hang the animal's head on their wall, or put their skin on the floor. Signs will be provided! Location: Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, 7025 Northland Drive North, Brooklyn Park, MN from 10:00 a.m.-noon.

ARC will be doing Virtual Reality Pay Per View outreach at Augsburg University in Minneapolis today. Pay Per View is an innovative form of outreach where people are offered $1.00 to view a short 3D film about the lives of animals used for food and then go home with information about how changing to a plant-based diet can make a huge difference for the animals, the earth, and themselves. This is a life-changing experience for many viewers.

Join AmyLeo Barankovich, of Vegan Affairs Minnesota, for an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about moving towards being your best voice for the animals. It seems to be human nature to speak “wildly” when our emotions lead the conversation. Being an effective animal advocate requires putting into practice a set of tools that we can access once we are aware of them and know how to best use them. Location is Penn Lake Library from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
