ARC is sponsoring an all-vegan bake sale from 1:00-4:00 p.m. to benefit Rooster Redemption, a non-profit sanctuary where roosters rule. ​RR devotes time, energy, and patience toward these birds who are the underdogs in the rescue world. Funds raised through the sale will be used for building improvements, including a large aviary to be built this spring. Chelsea will be baking Cinnamon Sugar Donut Cupcakes AND Chocolate Mint Cupcakes for your eating pleasure, and there will be many more treats created by generous volunteers. Join us for a peaceful protest at the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This rodeo includes bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, and barrel racing. The horses, bulls, and steers often suffer broken ribs, backs, and legs, torn tails, punctured lungs, internal organ damage, ripped tendons, torn ligaments, and snapped necks. These animals did not sign up for this, and they deserve better. Signs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
