Join us for a presentation on palm oil at East Lake Library, 2727 E Lake St, given by Karrie Vrabel - local Animal Rights Coalition, MN350, and Rainforest Action Network volunteer. Palm oil in everyday products creates rainforest deforestation, species extinction, climate change, and abusive child labor. Rainforest Action Network is working to move the snack food industry to commit to sustainable practices. You can be a part of this movement and help save Orangutans from extinction. Karrie will show a short video followed by a short presentation and there will be time for questions and answers afterward. RSVP at Animal Rights Meetup.

Join us for ARC's first volunteer meeting of June to talk about easy actions we can take in our community to help animals. The internet can be a difficult place for animal rights activists, but it can also be immensely effective in making changes to benefit animals. It's an extremely useful tool for those who aren't able to make it to AR events. We will be discussing upcoming events and actions you can take to help animals. As always, volunteer meetings are held at ARC's all vegan, cruelty-free boutique, Ethique Nouveau, 317 W 48th St. in Minneapolis. The store closes at 6 pm, but the door will be open to join us. You don't have to be an ARC member to attend these meetings (and you don't have to be vegan or vegetarian either.). You will be welcome no matter where you are in your journey toward living a more compassionate life. We hope to see you there.

Signs and literature will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own as well. Location is Ribnick Fur and Leather, 224 N 1st St in Minneapolis from noon to 1:30 P.M.

Join AmyLeo Barankovich, of Vegan Affairs Minnesota, for an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about moving towards being your best voice for the animals. Being an effective animal advocate requires putting into practice a set of tools that we can access once we are aware of them and know how to best use them. Location is Penn Lake Library, 8800 Penn Ave. S in Bloomington from 6:00-8:00 p.m. RSVP for this free event at Minnesota Animal Rights Meetup.
