- at 10:00 am2019-02-23 10:00:00Join us to send a message to the Safari Club that trophy hunting is a cruel "sport", that needs to stop. Killing is not conservation and their event is an excuse for people to go out and kill beautiful animals so they can snap a photo, hang the animal's head on their wall, or put their skin on the floor. Signs will be provided! Location: Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, 7025 Northland Drive North, Brooklyn Park, MN from 10:00 a.m.-noon.

- at 1:00 pm2019-02-24 13:00:00Join ARC, Bailing out Benji, and Puppy Mill Free Minnesota for a peaceful protest against Four Paws and a Tail on public property near Northtown Mall, 398 Northtown Drive NE, Blaine, Minnesota from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Meet at the intersection of County Road 10 and Jefferson, on the grassy area in front of Chipotle. Signs are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. We oppose Four Paws and a Tails business model of buying companion animals from breeding facilities and selling them to the public. We also oppose the idea that because a breeding facility is USDA licensed, it is ethical. RSVP at Animal Rights Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/Minnesota-Animal-Rights-Meetup/ (optional)

- all day2019-02-25 00:00:00ARC will be doing Virtual Reality Pay Per View outreach at Augsburg University in Minneapolis today. Pay Per View is an innovative form of outreach where people are offered $1.00 to view a short 3D film about the lives of animals used for food and then go home with information about how changing to a plant-based diet can make a huge difference for the animals, the earth, and themselves. This is a life-changing experience for many viewers.

- at 6:00 pm2019-02-26 18:00:00Join AmyLeo Barankovich, of Vegan Affairs Minnesota, for an interactive, thought-provoking conversation about moving towards being your best voice for the animals. It seems to be human nature to speak “wildly” when our emotions lead the conversation. Being an effective animal advocate requires putting into practice a set of tools that we can access once we are aware of them and know how to best use them. Location is Penn Lake Library from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

- at 2:00 pm2019-03-02 14:00:00You want to go vegan or recently made the switch, but you have all these questions. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just ask them all in one sitting and have knowledgeable and caring vegans give straight-forward answers? This free workshop will cover topics ranging nutrition, ethics, and the environment to how to gently explain to grandma that her banana bread isn't vegan... and how to teach her to make it vegan! Location is the Community Room of Boneshaker Books, 2002 23rd Ave. S in Minneapolis from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Feel free to come for as long as you'd like, no need to stay the whole workshop if you have limited time available. Note that his workshop is not designed for people who have been vegan for a long time, so if that's you sit this one out. If you are a longtime vegan and have friends/family/co-workers that would benefit from this workshop please come on down with them! RSVP at Vegan Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/vegan-415/

Thank You to Give to the Max Donors!
What a whirlwind yesterday was – so exciting to see the support for ARC’s work to help animals on Give to the Max day, especially from all the brand new donors who committed to helping animals. Thanks to all of you, we raised over $10,000 to continue and expand our work advocating for animals.
It’s moments like this when so many members of the community come together that prove our power to make change. Thank you to each and every one of you! You are amazing.
With love and gratitude,
Chelsea Youngquist, ARC Program Director and the ARC Board of Directors: Shelly Bell, Brenda Burchfield, Angie Chesney, Charlotte Cozzetto, Megan Kosse, and Steve Leinen
