Join VegKins, a program of the Animal Rights Coalition, for a fun, family-friendly event celebrating vegan kids and their parents! VegKins host monthly gatherings featuring potlucks, playdates, teen meetups, holiday celebrations, and much more.

This month VegKins hosts their annual "eggless" hunt at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park. Kids will hunt for empty plastic eggs, but all who attend will leave with a bag of vegan treats. The participant who collects the most plastic eggs wins a prize!

RSVP required to give organizers a head count. Let us know how many kids we can expect!

Join ARC for ARC Activists’ Circle, a brand-new monthly online gathering for our volunteer community!

On the first Monday of each month, we’ll hop on Zoom to connect with fellow advocates, share updates about upcoming campaigns and events, hear your ideas and opinions, and answer questions. It’s a relaxed space to stay in the loop, build community, and talk all things animal advocacy with other passionate activists.

ARC Activists’ Circle is designed for current volunteers and people interested in volunteering. If you have general questions about ARC outside of volunteering, please reach out to our office by phone or email during store hours.

To keep this space welcoming and productive for everyone, we ask that participants:
-Be respectful and allow others to finish speaking
-Avoid interrupting
-Use considerate language
-Treat everyone with fairness and kindness

Join ARC for a crucial discussion on rescuing animals! With Spring baby season coming, it's common to find sick or injured animals on the side of the road, in your yard, or along your walking path.

Amy, ARC's Campaign Manager, founder of Chicken Butt Microsanctuary, and admin for two local animal rescue groups, will go through the necessary materials to keep in your car for emergencies, how to care for an animal in need, who to call for help, precautions to take, and more! This is a volunteer meeting you won't want to miss!

All are welcome! You don't need to be vegan or vegetarian to attend ARC events. Snacks and beverages will be provided but we would love for you to bring something vegan to share with the group if you're able to!

Help us prep for the Mayday Parade!

2026 Theme: We'll have the ARC banner and a lively crew of inflatable animal costumes, plus volunteers sharing fun and educational facts on signs that connect to our campaigns.
This year’s lineup includes a frog (dissection), fox (fur industry), pig (Animal Ag/State Fair), dog (Minnesotan's Exposing the Pet Trade), cow (Dairy Industry/State Fair), elephant (circus/Ren Fest), and rooster (Animal Ag/State Fair).

The Animal Activist Legal Defense Project is hosting an online Know Your Rights training on April 15, 2026, at 6:30 PM Central Time for the Animal Rights Coalition.

This training will provide you with a basic toolkit to effectively assert your constitutional rights while engaging in protests advocating for animals. Interacting with law enforcement can be an inevitable part of campaigning. While no training can avoid every negative interaction, effectively asserting your rights minimizes the risks of unwanted legal entanglements, both allowing you to be more confident as an activist and keeping your time and energy focused where it is needed: those who need our voices. Our trainings are based on general constitutional principles and are designed to provide an easy-to-remember and easy-to-use approach to best protecting your rights while advocating for change.

This training pertains to animal activists/activism, designed for activists, investigators, and whistleblowers who bring attention to the conditions in which animals are confined, caged, transported, abused, and killed.

Whether you're brand new to ARC or a longtime volunteer, we invite you to join us for an engaging evening where you'll get an in-depth look at how we present ourselves at community events, how we converse with those who approach our table, how to answer the tough questions and remain calm, and more!

This is a great way to learn how ARC operates and strategies for how to be a more effective advocate. While attending a training workshop isn’t required before volunteering, we highly recommend it — especially if you want to confidently table at events with ARC.

✨ Food and beverages will be provided! Feel free to bring a vegan dish to share if you're able.

Join us for our community trash clean-up! Removing litter helps keep our neighborhoods beautiful and protects animals, both wild and companions, from choking hazards and plastic waste. We’d love your help 💚

We’ll provide gloves and trash bags (feel free to bring your own to reduce waste). We’ll also have chalk on hand for chalktivism—spreading the vegan message on nearby sidewalks.

Join Jordan, one of the Animal Rights Coalition Dine Out hosts, for lunch at Dreamstate Cafe! This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded folks and have a delicious meal while supporting restaurants with great vegan options.

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be vegan to attend, but all items ordered need to be vegan.

Please make sure to keep your RSVP up to date and arrive on time. These dine outs often fill up fast with people added to the wait list. Please be fair to them so that they have a chance to see if they are able to attend. This is also important so that we can give restaurants an accurate number as they are often busy and holding spots for us which could have gone to other customers.
I will send a reminder to everyone 3 days before the dine out. Canceling within 24 hours of the dine out time or not showing up will both count as a strike (unless you were on the wait list and were added because someone dropped out within 24 hours). If you get 3 strikes in a year you won't be able to attend future dine outs.

Join the Animal Rights Coalition at Augsburg University to engage students in meaningful conversations about animal rights and the benefits of adopting a vegan lifestyle!

We'll be tabling in the Christensen Center with pay-per-view virtual reality headsets that give students a first-hand look into the harsh realities of factory farming. Participants can watch from the perspective of a chicken, pig, or cow to see how animals raised for food endure suffering before ending up in grocery store packages. For each student who watches, we’ll offer $2 and have a follow-up conversation to discuss what they’ve seen.

Volunteers are needed to distribute informative literature, set up and assist with the VR headsets, and talk with students about animal rights, veganism, and their own experience.
